A Turn Of Events!
Hello everyone,
I hope you are all having a great weekend so far!! The last few days have been crazy in this house, from my stepdaughter moving in, to me needing to spend the evening in the emergency room, to getting ready for my boyfriend to leave for 6 months again for work. so when I say things have been crazy.... I wish I was lying.
So lets start with the beginning of the week when my stepdaughter moved in, it was not planned ahead of time and I'm not going to go into personal details on why so just know it was very last minute. yes, she did have a space here in the room with my daughters but because they are all only here part-time we had them in a smaller room. so to start off we needed to swap the rooms around so they could have the bigger room to make up for all her things. this itself wasn't to bad, however... as someone with BPD I get easily frustrated when things don't go as planned and to say they didn't really go as planned well... that would be an understatement. we lost pieces to the beds, and it took us 3 days to complete it ...it was just an all-around mess! however, we made it through the day. .... most of us...
which leads me to my emergency room visit. As some of you may know, I myself have been battling a lot of health issues and am currently on a waitlist to see the specialist which is next month, so I have been spending lots of time in bed and sleeping... thank goodness for a good man who takes care of us. so on this particular day, I decided I wanted to help change the rooms around and get the kids settled into their new rooms. however, while putting my son's loft bed together I started getting flushed and needed to take a seat as I could feel myself about to pass out. It didn't take long after that for my boyfriend to tell me I needed to be checked out. so off to the emergency room I went.
after 5 very long hours, the doctors ran all the tests and looked through everything, and the only thing they could think of because all of my tests... and I mean everything, came back normal. I had the doctor look me straight in the eye and say, (I'm not sure what caused it, it could have been ongoing stress, or it could be the beginning of a virus) I was told to go home and rest and see the outcome, so back to bed I went!
So fast forward to today, and my boyfriend and I really needed to have a talk as we knew this day was approaching. He travels for work and is gone 6 months at a time, so works for 6 months, home for 6 months. Today just happened to be the day we talked about how we were going to get things done as our family car had broken down a month earlier and we are still without a car. we still have a lot to figure out but hey at least the kids are settled in!
On a high note, my flower garden started to bloom so I was able to have a small moment of bliss! Even if they are a little flooded..
Anyway with everything this past week has thrown at us, we are still going. And I hope that regardless of your week, I hope you can enjoy your weekend, even if just for a small moment.
